DTF Printing Johor – Direct to Film Printing for T-Shirts & Uniforms

Need a full-colour logo on a handful of T-shirts, or one sample shirt before you commit to a bigger order? JC Print & Office Sdn Bhd offers DTF printing in Johor, and for T-shirts the minimum order is just 1 piece. Tell us the shirt, the quantity and where the logo should go, and we will send a quotation, usually the same day.

JC Print started in 2011 and became JC Print & Office Sdn Bhd in 2019. We are an authorised reseller of Oren Sport, Rightway, Gildan, HYDT and Lefonse, so you can ask about the shirt and the print together.

How direct to film printing works

In general terms, DTF (direct to film) printing works like this: the design is printed onto a special film, an adhesive powder is applied, and the film is then heat-pressed onto the garment. When the film is peeled away, the design stays on the shirt. That is why DTF is also called heat press printing.

There is no screen to prepare for each colour, so DTF is commonly chosen for small runs and for artwork with several colours. For the background, read what is DTF printing.

When DTF printing makes sense

DTF is worth asking about if:

  • you want a logo on the left chest, full front, back or sleeve of a T-shirt
  • your logo has several colours or a gradient
  • you only need a small quantity, or one sample T-shirt first (the T-shirt MOQ is 1 piece)
  • you are adding T-shirts for new staff or members after the first order

For tips on artwork, see best artwork types for DTF printing. For print sizes and positions, read custom T-shirt printing sizes and placement.

Shirts you can choose for DTF

Because we are an authorised reseller of several brands, you can pick the garment and the print in one quotation. Some places to start:

We also carry North Harbour, Crossrunner and Ultifresh.

Besides T-shirts, you can ask about DTF on other items we supply, such as polo shirts, F1 shirts, aprons and caps. For these items, WhatsApp us to ask about the minimum quantity.

DTF vs sublimation: the short difference

Both methods can print a full-colour design, but they work in different ways:

  • DTF prints the design onto a film that is then heat-pressed onto the garment, so the print sits on the surface. It is generally used on cotton as well as polyester shirts.
  • Sublimation turns the ink into a gas that bonds with polyester fibres, so it needs polyester or microfiber fabric and does not work on cotton. It is commonly used for designs that cover the whole shirt.

As a rough guide: for a chest logo on a cotton T-shirt, ask about DTF. For a design that covers the whole shirt on microfiber, read about sublimation printing in Johor. For a full team kit, see our sublimation jerseys.

DTF, embroidery or silkscreen?

We also offer embroidery and silkscreen printing. In general, embroidery stitches the logo onto the garment with thread, while silkscreen pushes ink through a screen, usually one screen per colour. Each method has its own trade-offs, and these two articles compare them with DTF:

Preparing your artwork

A few suggestions so your quotation is complete from the first message:

  • Send a vector file (AI, PDF or SVG) or a high-resolution PNG, ideally with a transparent background.
  • Tell us the print size and position: left chest, full front, back or sleeve.
  • Mention the shirt colour you have in mind and the quantity.
  • If you are not sure how to prepare the file, read how to prepare artwork for shirt printing.

  1. Choose the shirt: a brand and model from the list above, or ask us for options.
  2. Send your artwork: logo file, print position and size.

  4. Get your quotation: usually the same day during office hours, 9am–6:30pm.
  5. Delivery: we deliver to any town in Johor by courier.

What is DTF printing?
